Robin Carrington

A dyed-in-the-wool lover of music in all its forms, I hold a special place in my heart for rock and roll.  As a solo performer, I utilize the age-old yet timeless combination of singing alongside an acoustic guitar.  This simple yet powerful arrangement establishes a uniquely direct connection between the player and the listener and also creates the sonic equivalent of a close-up on each song.

I have been helping students advance and hone their guitar skills since 2010.  My approach to teaching revolves around integrating the precision of classical technique with the songs and stylistic elements of more contemporary genres such as rock, blues and country.  My goal is for every student to build and expand a solid and well-rounded musical framework via the pursuit of the music that they love and desire to play.  And all that said, I think the most important thing about learning to play music is having fun!

I currently teach for Music & Arts at both their Hurst and Garland locations.

For the Fort Worth area, I offer lessons at my home studio and also via a travel-to-you option for those who would prefer the convenience of having lessons in their own home!
